Before uniting with Sun Yatsen，the National Communists Association attempted to unite Wu
Peifu with great hope．However，it had to abandon him and began to unite Sun because of the exposure of W u’S reactionary stand．The failure of its attempt was a misreading of W u as a revolutionist，as well as apractical consideration of his strengh．Therefore，its failure was doomed．
